It hurts leaving. It really does. And although I saw most of you guys last night, I miss you already. I miss you all so much.
So—more likely than not—I won’t see you on the other side of the day. But that doesn’t mean you’re not important,
because you’ll be a part of me on the other side. You guys don’t know the impact that you have on each other… like the
way that you can help my internal conflicts—so thanks for taking me to the other side (I couldn’t have gotten here
Thanks for the adventure, thanks for the journey. It’s time for a new one.
For both of us.
Just don’t forget—and really try to talk to those that you want to and hope they return the favor (a friendship is a terrible thing to sink).
I guess there are a few things I need to highlight about what I have personally taken away from this year.
Firstly, don’t procrastinate—because not sleeping sucks. And we all underestimate the power of sleep—it heals.
Secondly, every challenge we uptake—whether it be team work or alone, difficult or easy, enjoyable or painful, and any
combination of the listed/unlisted areas—will help us reach our potential. And that’s really what I like about humans…
their ability to do great; great for others, great inventions, great works. The ability to choose—*because* we
can choose—can lead to the ability to choose right. And of course the time is always ripe to do right.
Thirdly, don’t worry about looking like a fool, because that’s foolish. I knew no one was perfect, but I didn’t see how much everyone is constantly hurting. People are walking around with gaping, oozing (mental) wounds. So don’t be afraid to pat someone on the back every now and then.
So, help the lady carrying two heavy boxes.
Talk to the person who has no one to talk to.
Smile at passersby.
Take the time out of your day to remind yourself that you are not a lone—help someone suffer less.
But never, never forget that you are human.
Never forget to treat others like one—especially when some people criticize another.
Never forget that you are great.
That you make mistakes.
Because you will make mistakes—so make them right.
Fix them. It is in your ability.
Now about college, we will all drift away from one other. Maybe we won’t all stop talking to each other… but it won’t be the same.
Nothing is ever the same. So don’t expect the world to change for the greater good either—without participating.
Participate in life. Know that you will lose and gain friends.
Although it is sad, it’s a growing pain that we all must endure if we wish to leave the womb.
We have to keep moving forwards, as the world stops for no one.
So I offer one last piece of comfort and optimism. (I hope that some of this has rubbed off on you guys).
Let’s all make the world a little brighter… one person at a time.
We’re on our own ways now.
Enjoy...Smile : )
We survived high school,
we survived Feraco.
Thanks one last time, it has been an exciting journey no? We carry with us the memories of these last 4 years in our arms, but soon we'll be going somewhere new with new experiences; it's only reasonable we will let some of these memories go to make new one.
I only hope I will keep yours Ean. Thanks for everything, know that you were someone that had a huge influenced on my life. You only come to realize just how much everyone has affected you if you stop to think about where you are. Thanks Ean, thanks...
I'll make sure that we'll meet sometime, somewhere, on the other side of the day.
