Feel free to chime in with what you're thankful for this year, even though it's after Thanksgiving! My comments are after the jump.
Have a wonderful five-day break!
For David Bellos, who got me started three years ago, and was the best mentor I could have asked for. Everyone needs one of you in their lives.
For my alums, who are still kind enough to hunt me down or send me letters one or two years later. It’s one of the best parts of the job!
For the kids who wore pink last year, which helped more than you could know.
For the teachers at AHS, who took a paycut so my friends and I could be rehired.
For Jim O’Brien, all of my fellow assistant coaches, and my seventy-three cross-country runners, who battled both high and low expectations, injuries, illnesses, fatigue, and some of the best competition in state history all year; when the chips were down, the boys ran the fastest team time in Division I and tied for the fastest team time in the state, and even though the vagaries of cross-country scoring still left us as the third-place team at the state meet, we ran well enough to qualify for Nationals for the first time!
For the Oldsmobile, which just completed its Third Annual Thanksgiving Circuit – 900 miles over 72 hours – with nary a hiccup.
For Guster, Bear vs. Shark, Motion City Soundtrack, Braid, Against Me!, Ben Folds, The Get Up Kids, The Promise Ring, A Wilhelm Scream, Northstar, Jawbreaker, Ted Leo & the Pharmacists, Office, The Thermals, Latterman, Transmatic, Valencia, and The Living End, for making music that can keep me awake while driving 900 miles!
For Bon Iver, Stars, Eliott Smith, The Arcade Fire, and Explosions in the Sky, for making music that I can fall asleep to when I’m not driving.
For Pixar - please never stop making movies.
For Star Trek - never die!
For friends and family, who I don’t contact nearly often enough, and who don’t try to make me feel guilty about it; life is better with them in it.
For Shannon, for being better to me than I’ll ever deserve, and for filling the quiet spaces of the day with love and wit. Adventure is out there!
For my freshmen, for making the middles of my days fun! You’ve come so far in so little time without losing any of your enthusiasm, and you’re going to have a great time in high school. Your futures are so bright, and I’m glad I get to be a part of them.
And for my seniors: Thank you for your creativity, your thoughtfulness, your personality, and your patience. I ask so much of you, and so many of you have responded...you have no idea how proud you make me on a regular basis. And thank you for your forgiveness; every single day feels like a tightrope walk while I’m building your class, and I know that some days don’t go as well as they should, but you’ve always been supportive while I try new things. I could not do what I do without you, and you make this worthwhile. I hope you never forget that.
I'm sincerely thankful to and for ... surviving (somewhat...) through the first three months of high school, soft-baked snickerdoodles, pie topped with all that good stuff aka pizza, internet, family, gummy vitamins that I always end up eating more than I should, every product of Hershey's, having a roof over my head, snickerdoodles, having people who care if I break open my head, snickerdoodles, whoever invented (playing) cards, my sleep- resistant powers that allows me to be typing this at 4:30 AM ( Sleep is for the weak, kids) whoever invented/first used speech & writing, and snickerdoodles.
Ohh wait, rut ro. Is this going to be graded Mr.Feraco? ...Mr.Feraco?
There are things in life that should not be graded. This is for fun!
I'm thankful for my family, friends, and teachers! I'm thankful that I live in Arcadia and I'm thankful for: piano lessons, violin lessons, having my own room, a roof over my head, food, water, and hardworking parents... Happy Thanksgiving!
・My doomed sense of humor(?), which is currently running madly around my circuit of thought like a moon-stricken fly, and makes my life ten times more ridiculous in hindsight than it ever should be.
・The ever-advancing technology. I've had no idea how much I had relied on them until I went to Death Valley;-) especially hot-keys. Yes, I do use Ctrl-v for all the bullet points on this list.
・The soundtracks/songs/whichever word you use to call them from The Sound of Music - which I find myself humming at random times of the day.
・Foods, the people who sell them, process them, and harvest them. I wouldn't have survived to this day without them
・All the people in and out of my life, even if I'm too stubborn, lazy, and shy to admit it. Thanks to everybody!
・Everything else I haven't mentioned and should be thankful for - i.e) comic strips, libraries, sunshine, water bottles, pencil sharpeners... there's too many!
P.S: I hope I'm not being a moron for posting this on the 29th... Anyways, a late Happy Thanksgiving - and have a nice Monday off!
BON IVER / THE ARCADE FIRE / EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY ARE AMAZING.
Didn't know you listened to them.
Anyways, I'm thankful for the people that put up with me everyday.
& all the teachers whom I've had in the past that have taught me well.
THE FRESHMEN RULE!
oh and uh ...
I'm thankful for food! LOT'S AND LOT'S OF IT!
Thankful for my family and friends, video games so I have at least one way to spend my holidays, and maybe other things that i can't think of as well!

I am very thankful for my mom. Without her I would probably be on the computer all day instead of doing homework. She always hacks at me over and over again, “Did you finish your homework?” “Are you sure?” Of course, at times it can get annoying, but because of that and many more things she has done for me, I am a better person.
My dad is also someone I am truly thankful for. I mean without him I would be a fragile little thing, both emotionally and physically. Thanks to him I know how to take criticism and nothing can hurt me (emotionally of course).
My little sister and occasionally little brother for always being there for me. My sister is always so nice and I take advantage of that way to much. It makes me feel guilty but she knows I love her. My brother is so mean to me but what are little brothers for? All in all I am thankful for all my family.
i know this is lat e but
